Welcome to the Historic Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church. Founded in 1840, Bank Street Church has provided spiritual and prophetic leadership to the Greater Hampton Roads Community for 164 years. Originally located in downtown Norfolk, Bank Street Church relocated to Chesapeake Boulevard in the Norview area of Norfolk in 1968, and has continued with a new vision for the congregation and community. We invite you to become a disciple of Jesus Christ and participate in "Being and Building the Kingdom of God."

The Mission of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church is to win souls for Christ and make disciples of men, women, and children for the building of God's Kingdom by proclaiming , serving, and giving thanks. We proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through church teaching, preaching, and being doers of the Word, and by ministering to the needs of the church, people in our community, and people throughout the world.
